The baseline survey conducted by HOCIC in December 2020 was meant to investigate the extent of Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) during COVID-19. The study was conducted in three districts of Umguza, Bubi and Umzingwane. The baseline survey will inform future programming in the prevention and ending of all forms of abuse, especially CSA in all areas of implementation.

The study is funded by Kindernothilfe, the donor of the Protecting the PsychoSocial Wellbeing of Children during Covid-19 (PPWCC) programme. PPSWCC is focused on providing food assistance to vulnerable households with children below the age of 18 grappling with the extreme effects of COVID-19.
